POSITION: Transit Ambassador (Part-time and Full-Time Positions)

OVERVIEW: With direction and oversight from the Program Supervisor, the Transit Ambassador will provide a wide range of services in support of the hospitality program on behalf of Service Group Inc and the PATCO.

The primary role of the Transit Ambassador is to assist riders throughout the PATCO Transportation System.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  


include, but not limited to the following:

 

 

  • Provide a visible presence by walking/riding transit system
  • Deliver hospitality services by interacting with riders in a polite and professional manner, supporting the customer service efforts of PATCO
  • Offer and provide assistance, information and directions by providing "concierge" type services 
  • Identify and report conditions that adversely affect the environment.
  • Be familiar with special events, attractions and conventions occurring
  • While walking, be aware of litter and pick up trash, such as newspapers, bottles, cans and other small debris and report spills, large debris and areas in need of cleaning

REQUIREMENTS: Successful applicants will have the following minimum requirements and qualifications:

1.    At least 18 years of age

2.    Possess a valid Driver's License

3.    High School diploma or GED

4.    Record free of felony convictions and patterns of misdemeanors

5.    Drug free life style

6.    Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

7.    Follow instructions and retain information

8.    Speak clearly and communicate effectively

9.    Exercise self control when dealing with distraught, disturbed/disabled, irate, and/or intoxicated individuals

10. Make sound decisions and use good judgment.


COMPENSATION:  

 

1.    Starting hourly wage of $9.50 with potential for annual increases based on contract requirements and performance
